Lingual braces are placed on the inside surface of your teeth. They are hidden behind your teeth, so they are invisible when you smile.
Lingual braces are customised to match the shape of your teeth and are created uniquely for your smile.
How do Lingual braces work?
Lingual braces work just like other braces with brackets and archwires which are customised for your mouth. An impression/scan is taken of your teeth and then a dental laboratory uses computerised technology to create the metal brackets that fit on the back side of each tooth. Once they are bonded to your teeth, they get to work creating the results you deserve.
Will my speech be impacted?
Once the braces are placed you may need to undergo an adjustment period which will last a couple of weeks because the braces are located close to your tongue which affects your speech initially. This dissipates quickly, especially if you eat and speak as normal to ease the transition.
